Liquid Coatings
Roof coating is an increasingly used method of roofing for predominately flat roofs. The primary advantages of roof coatings and cements are their economical, proven performance life, and ease of use. Advances in technology have seen a massive improvement in both the quality and range of products available for roof coating from Bituminous to Polymer Modified Coatings.
Further still, modern products are applicator friendly and non-flammable products are also available.
Roof coatings and cements are available with a wide range of properties and consistencies to meet increasingly demanding standards and scenarios. Coatings are primarily distinguisable via their viscosity. Low viscosity, non-fibred are useful for as penetrating primers and damp proofing coatings.
Medium viscosity, fibred and non-fibred coatings and cements are designed for use on commercial, industrial, and residential roofs as a top layer. Some of these coatings incorporate pigments (aluminium, titanium dioxide and others) to reflect the damaging rays of the sun, improving performance.
The Highest viscosity, heavy bodied cements are designed for adhering waterproofing membranes and components, and for patching and repairing leaks.
The primary advantage of roof coatings and cements is to provide an economical, swift and effective solution to new roofing and repairs. County Roofing has a wealth of experience and an extensive knowledge on the application of such coatings, to ensure your needs and expectations are met and surpassed.
Historically, cold-applied roof coatings and cements proven repeatedly to be an effective and economical answer to solving the challenges associated with the installation of new roofing, as well as providing preventive maintenance and repair for existing roof surfaces.
Bituminous Roof Coatings and Cements Traditional bituminous roof coatings and cements are made from “cutback” bitumen.
Polymeric Roof Coatings and Cements Coatings and cements can also be formulated with a variety of synthetic resins such as acrylic, neoprene, styrene butadiene, urethane, polyvinyl acetate and others.
Polymer Modified Roof Coatings and Cements.
These coatings and cements are a hybrid of the previously discussed groups.
